Dr. Hofer is a dedicated, board-certified neurologist with Added Qualifications in Headache Medicine (AQH). Born and raised in Fort Calhoun, Nebraska, near Omaha, he is passionate about his field and deeply committed to helping his patients. Dr. Hofer completed his Neurology Residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and subsequently served as the Chief of the Neurology Department at Keesler Medical Center while working in the USAF. He was also appointed as an academic university assistant professor of neurology. Returning to Omaha, he joined Neurology Consultants of Nebraska to be closer to family.
Dr. Hofer is a general neurologist with a specialized area of interest in headache medicine, pain medicine, and Parkinson’s disease. He is an expert in using botulinum toxins for treating chronic migraines and performs EMGs and nerve tests to evaluate conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, radiculopathy, and other nerve-related symptoms. Dr. Hofer provides comprehensive neurological care to adults of all ages and offers headache care to children aged 12 and older.
Beyond medicine, Dr. Hofer enjoys spending time with his wife and five children. Whether navigating mountain trails on his bike or immersing himself in outdoor adventures, he finds balance and inspiration outside the clinic.
